Tracking the Rainwise process keeps funding on schedule and your installation team accountable. These project photos and planning tools come directly from our field playbook.

Week 0: Eligibility + discovery
Use the city map to confirm eligibility. We collect roof measurements, downspout locations, and any existing drainage concerns. This phase usually takes two days and sets the baseline for our measurement tracking.

Adjust start weeks based on city demand—Ballard fills fastest in spring while Beacon Hill has more winter availability.
Week 1–2: Design and application
Our design team creates scaled drawings, selects cistern sizes from the cistern catalog, and prepares infiltration details. Applications are submitted via Rainwise and we follow up within 48 hours. Bellevue or Issaquah homes may require additional permit paperwork.
Week 3–5: Installation
Once approved, crews coordinate gutter reroutes, cistern pad prep, and drainage tie-ins. We integrate new gutters and compliance checklists so the inspection passes on the first visit.
Week 6–8: Inspection and payout
City inspectors verify overflow routing, downspout disconnection, and system volume. Osprey Exterior submits the rebate package within 24 hours, and homeowners typically receive payment within three weeks.
